Does your Instant Pot Pro WiFi frequently lose connection? The following information can help you fix connection issues between the Instant Brands app / your phone and the Instant Pot Pro (Max) WiFi.

The Pro WiFi uses an outdated cloud connection that is extremely picky. In 90% of cases, the problem isn’t the device itself but one of these three factors: 2.4 GHz network, router settings, or app cache. Below you’ll find the fastest route to a solution.

First, try resetting the WiFi connection on your Instant Pot by holding down the WiFi symbol (top right of the display) until you hear a beep.
Then try reconnecting.

To check:

1. Check your WiFi band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)
  • Your Instant Pot Pro Plus requires a 2.4 GHz network.
  • Many modern routers broadcast both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, often with similar names (for example “YourWifi” and “YourWifi_5G”).
  • Solution: connect to the network name indicating 2.4 GHz or without the “_5G” suffix. If you have only one network name, you may need to log into your router settings and temporarily disable the 5 GHz band during setup.

2. Restart your network equipment
  • Unplug your modem and router for 15–30 seconds.
  • Plug the modem back in first and wait until it reconnects completely. Then do the same for your router.
  • Wait another 5 minutes before trying to reconnect your Instant Pot.

3. Check your network password and router settings
  • Double-check that you’re entering the correct WiFi password, paying attention to uppercase and lowercase letters.
  • If you have a VPN active on your phone or computer, temporarily disable it during the pairing process.
  • If your router has “network isolation” enabled, this may prevent devices from communicating. You may need to disable it in your router settings.
  • Open the Instant Brands Connect app → remove the device → re-pair it.
  • Disable Disney Circle, WiFi isolation, MAC randomization, or VPN during setup.
  • Ensure your router uses WPA2 and not a “guest network” or AP isolation.

4. Adjust placement
  • Move the Instant Pot and your phone closer to the router during setup.
  • If you have many connected devices, try temporarily disconnecting a few to reduce network congestion.
